Personality and Appearance[]

Elijah is the curator of the British Museum. He is a large, well-dressed man with fairly broad shoulders. He wears a proper suit that is incredibly well-made and has spectacles on a chain around his neck. When the party meets him, he's slightly awkward. As he leads them around the museum, he walks at a very clipped pace, very "professorial".

History[]

Pre-campaign[]

When Hamid was younger, he and Elijah met. Elijah says that he hasn't seen Hamid since he was very small.

Before the campaign began, Elijah and Bertie attended a party together; Bertie says that he seemed like a nice man. When they meet again, Elijah is surprised to hear that Bertie remembers him, mentioning that Bertie had been "so far gone" at the party.

Season 1[]

He greets the party as they arrive at the British Museum, and then escorts them to the Oldbotham wing. They show him the origami swan that they found in the notebook. He translates the Japanese, and it says "Thank you for reminding me not to forget your culture." He also explains that it's of Japanese origin, and that it's single-ply rice paper. As they walk through the exhibits toward Bertie's family wing, he explains the different artefacts and tries to stop the rest of the party from touching a number of things.

While the party is touring, he asks Bertie if he will be able to provide the funds for the Oldbotham wing. After Brutor knocks over the vase, he steps out of the room, leaving the party to deal with the problem. He comes back in after it's been handled, and asks for more funding from Bertie to cover the damages. The gnome lawyers appear and give him a check to satisfy him. After getting the check, the curator leaves the room. Before the party leaves, he asks them if they are heading to Paris, and then asks them to bring a sample page of the Rosetta stone to the Ordinateurs. He offers to make a statement to the press about the events at the museum, explains that Bertie may or may not be able to purchase an item from his family's collection that they donated to the museum, and then politely escorts the party out and shuts the door behind them.
