Friedrich is part of the crew of the Vengeance.

Personality & appearance[]

Friedrich is a dwarf who’s somewhat attractive. He’s also weather-beaten, with a beard that’s short for dwarves (which is common among seafaring dwarves.) He carries a war hammer at all times and has very large arms that touch the ground when he stands. They bear warped tattoos.

Like the other crew, he's almost aggressively taciturn at first, but then eventually turns out to be genial though awkward.

History[]

Pre-campaign[]

Friedrich is originally from Germany, but has been travelling for a long time, and very far; his home is now Svalbard. He went to the Northern Wastes in an airship and flew through an area with large amounts of wild magic. During this time, his crew was taking turns flying the airship while everyone else stayed below decks; during his turn, his arms became much larger. He also lost some of his crew during that voyage.

Season 4[]

[162 - 173]

Zolf hires Friedrich as part of the crew on their trip to Svalbard in episode 162. He plays a very large accordion while onboard.

Wild magic places him in Driaak's body in episode 168; Kiko occupies his body. He recovers his own body in episode 173.

[174 - 180]

In the ship crash in episode 174, Friedrich is thrown from the ship and is knocked unconscious. He is healed by Azu and Cel, and does not get a scar. He helps to carry the bodies to the bear and the ritual hall in episodes 175 and 176, and stays outside during the ritual in episode 177. In episode 180, he remains on the bear with the Ursans along with the rest of the crew of the Vengeance, while the party goes to the Garden of Yerlik.

[192]

In episode 192, Wilde informs the party that through his connection to Carter and Sassraa, the Vengeance crew know the party is OK, and that they are planning to help in some way.

Trivia[]

  • Better at cards and darts than Siggif, but that's probably not hard.
